If, like me, you have hundreds of papers and receipts piling up in an unsightly mess on your desk, why not create a place you can put them to make everything just a little bit more organised.

I bought some clipboards with the idea of organising my receipts and paperwork so that I know where they are and what I need to do with them. I have a clipboard for receipts for each business I run and one spare for general paperwork. Receipts that have been put on my bookkeeping system have a big tick on the front and then I’m supposed to file them…but that doesn’t happen. Then I thought, if the clipboards were a bit prettier, maybe I’d be more inclined to sort my paperwork to reveal the prettiness underneath!

Make your own envelopes with the envelope template from Papermash

Papermash is an online shop that I discovered recently, selling great paper products and party goods. I bought some glittery washi tape and this wooden envelope template, and I can honestly say, I’m in love! This template allows you to quickly and easily make beautiful custom envelopes that are around 16.2 cm x 11.3 cm, but I’m sure you can scale up or down.

All you need to do is trace around the envelope template, cut the shape out, fold along the lines and glue the sides. Simples! Once I had done a couple of practice envelopes, I probably made one envelope in no more than 5 minutes.

Want something super cute and super simple to decorate your desk, notebooks, greetings cards, basically anything? Try washi tape bunting. The washi tape craze ensured that there are all sorts of weird and wonderful patterns on this pretty paper tape so you’ll have plenty to choose from.

The best way we can describe washi tape is that it feels like masking tape — very, very pretty masking tape. It’s made of paper, but is not as delicate as you would expect.
